1-Octen-3-ol (English name 1-Octen-3-ol; 3-Octenol), also known as Mushroom alcohol; vinylpentyl methanol (Vinyl pentylcarbinol); 1-vinylhexanol (1-Vinyl hexanol) molecular formula C8H16O, structural formula is CH2=CHCH(OH)CH2CH2CH2CH2CH3. It is aliphatic unsaturated alcohol, the appearance is colorless to light yellow oily liquid, with mushroom, lavender, rose and hay aroma.
